It’s a 1996 Mitsubishi Delica Spacegear Jasper special edition adventure van with 2800 cc turbo Diesel intercooled engine, automatic transmission, and Super Select four wheel drive with Lo range and locking center differential. These Delica Spacegear vans make for excellent vanlife off road backwoods and overlanding rigs. They have Mitsubishi’s rugged Super Select 4WD system also used in the Pajero and Montero from that era. This 4WD provides auto locking front hubs and center locking differential along with 4WD Lo and high and 2WD modes. The interior offers cool wear resistant seats and carpeting with fun retro graphics. The middle row of seats pivots to face forward, backward, or sideways. All seats fold down to make a sleeping surface. And the rear seats fold up and out of the way for extra cargo room. This example has no corrosion, comes freshly serviced, and runs and drives excellent. It has only 95,000 miles (the oodometer is in kilometers) which is very little for Mitsubishi’s dependable powerful efficient and durable 4M40 TurboDiesel engine. 1997 Toyota Hiace 4WD Turbo Diesel Club Field Adventure Van - SOLD

 

Alright all of you wanderers and adventure seekers, Here is a terrific four wheel drive Turbodiesel JDM van offered for your consideration. This is a 1997 Toyota Hiace 3.0 liter turbodiesel (1KZ-TE engine) 4WD “Club Field” edition van. These make for the ultimate in adventure and Van life rigs due to their high level of comfort and off-road capabilities. This one is a 97 model so it offers dual airbags in front in addition to the usual triple moonroof setup with rear seats that swivel and convert into a bed. These make an excellent base for a diy camper build as well. The Club Field trim provides better mirrors, lower skid plates, limited slip differential, cool graphics, special upholstery, and other features. What is most amazing about this particular example is that it has a super low 62,685 kilometers, which converts to just 38,800 miles! It’s like a brand new van in many ways. It does have a little west and tear typical of a 25 year old vehicle. But you’ll be hard pressed to find a Hiace with fewer miles at this price point. This is a 1996 Toyota Hiace Grand Cabin X long wheel base with 1KZ-TE turbodiesel engine and automatic transmission and full-time four wheel drive. It’s been converted to a camper with stove and sink and full size bed in the rear. It also has a roof top tent for camping luxury. It has a low 144,000 kilometers on the odometer, which is a really low 89,000 miles. These 3.0 liter turbodiesel engines exhibit typical Toyota reliability and durability. So that’s very few miles. 1994 Mitsubishi Delica Reimo Poptop Super Exceed Camper - $35,000

Update: this Reimo poptop full camper Mitsubishi Delica Starwagon is now in New Mexico. Just in time for outdoor playtime We are presenting the opportunity for a US buyer to own a rare 1994 Mitsubishi Delica Super Exceed 5 speed turbodiesel 4WD Reimo poptop camper. The Reimo poptop full camper is a rare vehicle and the 5 speed Reimo camper is rarer than that. These Delicas rival Volkswagen Westphalia Syncros in their utility and mobility and come with a more reliable turbodiesel engine from the factory. They also have Mitsubishi’s 4 wheel drive system that was utilized in the Montero of this era, with a real 3 speed transfer case, locking front hubs, and limited slip rear differential. These are great for go anywhere utility and backcountry and overland camping. The full camper version provides sleeping space down below and up top in the poptop as well as a furnace, a sink, and space for a stovetop, with lots of storage cabinets. This unit currently shows 228,628 verified and certified kilometers on the odometer, which converts to just over 142,000 miles. The floor covering shown in the photos is a protective covering-the carpet in the rear is in excellent condition. 1994 Mitsubishi Delica Starwagon 5 Speed - SOLD

 

Here’s a very nice Low budget Mitsubishi Delica Starwagon 4X4 Adventure Van that won’t break the bank. It’s priced a bit lower than average for a Delica in similar condition because it does have a couple of rust spots. But as you can see in the photos, overall it is very nice. It runs and drives better than it looks. The paint is very nice and the interior is incredibly clean. It also has the desirable 5 speed manual transmission (much better mpgs and much better acceleration) the 2.5 liter turbodiesel engine does so much better paired to a 5 speed, and it has rare sliding windows that are much better than the pop out kind for airflow and ventilation, especially for camping. Brand new BFG AT tires, fresh belts, and recently serviced. AC and heat work great. It’s hard to get any better than a Delica for backcountry and overland adventures. These are as competent as Syncro Vanagons better than VW Eurovan, and cooler than Sprinters or Transit vans.
